9th Grade Orientation
Dear Parent/Guardians and Students,
On February 22, 2021, McLean High School will host an in-person Freshman Orientation for students who selected in-person learning for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.
Commitment Form

Once Students Arrive at the school
Students will be welcomed off the bus to enter the school. Faculty will be there to help students find the locations around the building. Students should report to the following locations:
A-Fa - Auditorium
Fe-Kz - Upper Gym
L-Re - Lower Gym
Ri - Z - Cafeteria
Once everyone has settled in, students will meet their administrator.
Group tours of the school:

- Students will be broken up into groups of 8
- An upperclassman/Big Mac will lead students on a tour of the school
- Students will participate in activities at stations during the tour
- Students will be advised to take note of where their classrooms are located
Dismissal:
-
- Students will return to their busses (Door 1) or door 9 for pick up.
Safety Protocols at McLean High School
On February 18, all students will complete the Stop the Spread lesson in their first period class.
All students will be required to wear masks, and masks will not be provided by the school.
The following cloth masks/face coverings are NOT supported by FCPS:
- Gaiters with a single layer
- Face masks/face coverings with exhalation valves/vents
- Cloth masks/face coverings with a single layer
The following cloth masks/face coverings are acceptable and supported by FCPS:
- Gaiters with 2 or more layers
- Cloth masks/face coverings with 2 or more layers
Transportation
Students will be picked up and returned to their local elementary school. Students will be brought to McLean High School and enter through Door 1. Should you choose to provide your own transportation for your student, use door 9 as the drop off and pick up area.

Students will arrive at McLean High School during the designated time according to their elementary school pick up location. Please attend the session for your student’s assigned elementary school.
