Emily Bradshaw (Outstanding Leader): Emily is a compassionate and dedicated leader who puts others before herself in all circumstances. She excels at communicating and collaborating with the members of the McLean community which enhances the school’s daily operations. She keeps the best interest of students at the center of every decision she makes and spends countless hours working toward their success. Emily is a strong instructional leader; she is a friend to her colleagues and a mentor to the students of McLean. Emily is a community-builder and goes above and beyond to support McLean High School in the classroom, on the field, court, and on the stage. McLean High School is lucky to have Emily as an Outstanding School Leader.  

Elly Donlen (Outstanding Professional): Ms. Donlen is "grace under fire." She accomplishes this by being so very organized for all the different schoolwide/large-scale testing along with working with the counselors to ensure students pass their SOLs to graduate. She does not lose her cool during rollouts of large-scale test days even when so much of it is beyond her control. She handles it all with grace and makes testing proceed as required. She instills the utmost faith in her role that she will make sure McLean students are set up for success.

Cat Gamboa (Outstanding Teacher): Ms. Gamboa embodies the best qualities of a teacher. She cares deeply about her students and focuses on their genuine growth, no matter what abilities they have or at what level their goals are placed. Her passion for students in team-taught classes and the time and energy she commits to guiding them to success creates a culture of support and care in her classroom which quickly spreads among students and staff. She always takes the time to provide every student with support and guidance while serving as a mentor to team teachers who are either new to the position or new to the content area.

MacK Rankin (Outstanding New Teacher): MacK Rankin takes the care and time to plan innovative lessons for her AP Biology and Regular Biology students. She is constantly contributing new ideas to her CT and always willing to try new strategies to create a student-centered learning atmosphere in her class and others'.

Jose Portillo (Outstanding Operational Employee): Jose is a very hard worker who always has a “can do” attitude. He is always extremely friendly and will do whatever it takes to help enhance & maintain our facilities. He has always been such an asset to our school community.
