Congratulations to Mr. James Wears and Mr. Michael Davis on their recognition as the June 2023 FCPS CARES Region 2 Recipients of the Month, presented by the FCPS Department of Human Resources.

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story below, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.

Below is the write-up submitted by Mr. Michael Ross, a colleague at Gatehouse Administration Center

Saw a lot of compassion, kindness, and empowering of a special needs student at McLean HS. SRO Davis and Security Assistant Mr. Wears showed a lot of respect to this young man. They let him handle a lot of fire drill duties, including using radios and keys. This was beyond what words can express, but am grateful for gents like this, who lift up and empower this student and others.
