Congratulations to our school psychologist, Ms. Beth Werfel, who was recognized in the "Impact on Others" category at the 2018 FCPS Excellence Awards Ceremony for her efforts in prioritizing mental health and wellness.

The McLean Seasons Art Project is a series of art and photography exhibitions, the goal of which is to showcase the incredible talent of McLean High students and faculty and give the community an opportunity for recognition. Submitted works which encompass the prevailing themes are selected to be featured in the shows.

McLean High School teachers play professional development bingo, a friendly competition sponsored by the PTSA. One of the bingo squares is to host or do a pineapple visit, which is an informal classroom observation.

Congratulations to yearbook advisor Meghan Percival who has been selected as a recipient of the Journalism Education Association’s (JEA) Medal of Merit.

AP Boot Camp is an interactive leadership conference where students discuss and practice the qualities required for success in AP classes, college, and in the corporate world.  AP Boot Camp is designed for students who are enrolling in their first AP class in the fall.

Congratulations to our former Assistant Principal Jamie Lane (now Principal at Oakton High School!) on being named the 2018 Region 2 Outstanding Leader and one of five finalists for this year's Outstanding School-based Leader Award! Congratulations as well to English Teacher Seth LeBlanc and AP History and Social Studies Teacher Cynthia Hawkins who were both named McLean HS pyramid-level recipients and recognized at FCPS Honors!
